AWP:  The Association of Writers and Writing Programs promotes literary talent and achievement.  It serves writers, teachers, students and readers of contemporary writing. Intermediate Arts is a Minnesota multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural arts organization located in Minneapolis. Their mission is to provide understanding among people through art: http://www.intermediaarts.org.

League of Minnesota Poets, a poet’s society, that publishes The Lomplighter, a quarterly newsletter, and The Moccasin, a poetry anthology.  They also choose a Poet Laureate every five years:  http://www.mnpoets.com.
